Corolla is a weather-responsive coworking pod prototype that reimagines architecture as a living, adaptive organism. The modular structure features a “soft-robotic” skin composed of eight pneumatic petals that open or close according to climate conditions, using sensors, valves, and air-pressure control to regulate light, airflow, and temperature.

Encased in a steel frame, the pod integrates photovoltaic panels, WiFi, charging points, and a compact HVAC system, creating a self-sufficient micro-environment for year-round use.

The project was a winning entry in the competition promoted by Regione Lombardia and Camera di Commercio Milano Monza Brianza Lodi in collaboration with Politecnico di Milano. Corolla was presented at HOMI Milano and later exhibited at Expo Dubai 2020, representing an architectural vision of adaptable, intelligent structures that sense and respond to their surroundings.
